Since Keydata Solutions Limited maintains its own dedicated servers, we can be more flexible when it comes to specific hosting requirements from our clients, which would not be available on other hosting packages with different providers.

Custom Error Pages

Our clients can utilise custom error pages to provide website visitors with more informative and tailored responses in the event they stumble over a page that is no longer available or mistype a URL. Tailoring these error pages allows the user to quickly get back on track to find the information they originally intended to find.

Multiple FTP Accounts

Some of our customers regularly exchange large files with their clients that are too large to transfer via email. In the past most companies resorted to sending these large files on CD's and DVD's via post delaying proceedings by a day or more. With us they now have a much faster and more reliable method of transferring these files without relying on curriers. We created restricted FTP accounts that clients can log into and FTP large files, that once notified by email or phone can be downloaded within minutes of the file being uploaded. This drastically reduced delivery allowing for greater flexibility.

Our FTP servers support the latest file transfer protocols providing additional benefits like:

• Files being able to resume if the connection is lost
• Compression to further reduce the time taken to upload files
• Simultaneous upload and download capabilities
• 128-bit SSL encryption for FTPS and HTTPS file transfers

For clients that do not have FTP access we can provide a secured web interface that works in all modern browsers, transferring files over HTTP instead.

URL and Proxy Rewrite Filters

Rewrite Filters can modify URL's to improve their appearance to make them more search engine friendly, prevent undesired 'inline linking', and hide the inner workings of how the website it built to increase security.

An example of a URL Rewrite would be:

http://www.example.com/default.asp?ID=page-name

Which could be changed to:

http://www.example.com/page-name

URL Rewriting can also be used to redirect visitors from old web pages to new ones if they are no longer available or the page name has been renamed.

Redundant DNS hosting

For clients that require effortless, reliable and flexible DNS hosting, we provide redundancy for DNS entries to ensure records are always available. We always have a minimum of two servers mirroring DNS records to cover potential hardware failure.

Directory Browsing

For clients that require a low maintenance web interface to share files, we can enable directory browsing in specific areas which allows customers to download files through the browser without needing to know the specific URL for each file. This would be useful if you have frequently updating archives of documents available for clients to download.

We can also provide more advanced document management facilities which would allow website administrators to upload and archive documents, providing a facility for website visitors to keyword search within documents to find the information they require.
