Ecommerce & SSL Hosting

Ecommerce CartElectronic commerce, commonly known as e-commerce or ecommerce, consists of the buying and selling of products are services over the internet, and has grown extraordinarily over the last few years.

Running an ecommerce shop does not mean you have to be competent in designing or updating websites, and allows you to sell to a much wider audience with reduced running costs compared to operating a shop locally.

We can implement and maintain many ecommerce solutions available today, allowing us to advice which solution we think would work best for your business, providing the functionality and flexibility you require. Most solutions can be up and running from scratch within a few weeks, allowing you to start trading online immediately.

With most ecommerce solutions allowing owners to maintain products and stock levels themselves, once the shop is setup and running we can provide training to ensure staff with little or no HTML knowledge can keep the website up to date as and when required.

Some ecommerce solutions require online merchant accounts to trade over the internet - we have experience with multiple providers to streamline setup. Depending on how much trading you intend to generate from online sales, some merchant accounts charge a fixed fee per month, others charge a fee or percentage per transaction.

Secured SSL Hosting

SSL PadlockOne of the most important factors when buying and selling online is the use of Secured Socket Layers, or SSL for short. SSL provides secured communication between an online shop and a customer PC, encrypting information sent and received to ensure hackers cannot discover personal information like credit card or address details.

We can purchase and install SSL certificates which allow websites to use HTTPS, providing the padlock symbol in browsers which reassures customers their information is safe and secure. Some of the ecommerce packages we offer do not require website owners to purchase SSL certificates, because payment processing is completed by a third party (e.g. Protx, WorldPay or PayPal).

Please contact us if you require further information about the use of SSL certificates on your website.
